My user page will show me as logged in, but on the rest of the site, I am just a visitor.

Does it happen on IQ Meta in the same way as Inward Quest?

(Jun 18 '12 at 15:01) Simon Templeton ♦♦

I wasn't able to log on to IQ Meta at all from my tablet.

(Jun 18 '12 at 15:10) Grace

What kind of tablet is it? Also, are you able to try with a different browser? Also, have you had any problems with any other website?

(Jun 18 '12 at 17:08) Simon Templeton ♦♦

The tablet is Android. The browser is Google Chrome, same as I'm using here at work. No problems with any other site.

(Jun 18 '12 at 17:19) Grace

Chrome on Android is in beta and so may still be buggy. Please could you try it with your default Android browser and see whether it works or not? I use Android myself (v2 & 4) and have never had any problems. Thanks

Tried it, same result. Maybe Firefox?

(Jun 19 '12 at 12:43) Grace

If you tried it with two different browsers and it still doesn't work, it sounds more like something to do with your setup. Have you restarted your tablet recently? If not, please do a full restart, not just on and off. Also have you got any software installed that might interfere with cookies, or might be killing them? Privacy-type software might do that

Sorry, Mr. Templeton. You just went past my pay-grade. I do restart my tablet every day, but I don't know what privacy software may be present. I trust my son for all that stuff, but want to keep my interactions at Inward Quest private, so I have no access to help with this.

If there is something simple you can recommend that I look for, I will try whatever you think. If it's just something I'll have to live with, please just let me know, and accept my thanks for trying.

I don't know what else to suggest. It seems like it is something that is related just to your tablet. No-one else has reported any problems so far and I use a variety of different browsers on different devices without any trouble. It will probably need someone with some technical knowledge to look at your tablet's software setup and browser and figure out what's happening when it visits the sites but I quite understand if you don't want to get anyone else involved. Can't really help any further for now without getting quite technical. Sorry.

No worries, I really appreciate you having a go at it for me. If I do figure it out, I will let you know what was wrong, just for future reference if it does happen to another user. :) Have a happy day!

(Jun 19 '12 at 15:28) Grace

Thank you. Yes, it would be helpful to know what the problem was if you do figure it out yourself.

I'm in! I have no idea how, I just kept trying, and it worked all weekend. Well, I did think to myself, "Wouldn't it be nice if...." :) Yay! Did you do something?

Ironically, I was still not able log on here at home.

(Jun 25 '12 at 19:05) Grace

That's good to hear, Grace. Thanks for the update. Nothing has been changed at this end that would affect the ability to log in, or not log in.

(Jun 26 '12 at 03:14) Simon Templeton ♦♦

Just wanted to let you know, it has happened again. I tried over and over last night and this morning to log in here and on IQ, but the same thing happened.

I should mention that I didn't need to log in again since I last talked to you, I was just still logged in whenever I got on the site at home.

Last night, I clicked on FAQ to look at some stuff, and when I came back, I was just a visitor again.

Oh, and same with IQM. If you look at my recent activity, you can see how many times I tried!

(Jul 12 '12 at 12:05) Grace

Thanks for the information. How were you able to finally log in again?

(Jul 12 '12 at 12:41) Simon Templeton ♦♦

Oh, I haven't. I should have mentioned, I can only log in on the desktop computer at work.

(Jul 12 '12 at 13:24) Grace

Ok, thanks for the update. I don't know what you did to manage to log in last time so it's not really possible to advise you what to do this time. As before, nothing has changed on the IQ end that I am aware of

Hi I just wanted to let you know, my son installed a browser for me called Dolphin, and I've been having no problems, all week! He is a computer systems security anylist, and brilliant :), so I'm sure its a secure one to recommend to anyone. Thanks for all your suggestions. I must have a weird tablet or something.

(Jul 29 '12 at 03:24) Grace

Thank you for the update, Grace. I'm sure it will help others who are having the same problem
