I've seemed to stop receiving email notifications when people use the @kakaboo tags in their posts or comments, even though I have still enabled it in my email notification settings. Is anyone else facing the same problem ?

If the thread was created before IQ moved to the new software (at the start of 2012) then you won't receive any notifications unless you manually subscribe to the thread yourself. There is nothing that can be done about this, the data in the previous software was not in a format that contained the information to allow this to happen.

It also appears that the @kakaboo syntax seems to only work on threads that you are already subscribed to, rather than any thread anywhere in the system. If you unsubscribe from a thread, the notifications appear to stop for that thread. This is a guess though. We didn't write the software that IQ currently uses and some parts of it are still not clear in how they operate.

That does make a lot of sense and coincides with what I am facing sometimes, thanks
