I have been wondering this for a long time. We are starting to have huge, long conversations under the questions, and it would be very cool if we could receive a notice that someone has commented to us. Can you do this- or is something i place that does this already?

The software we use does not support that and we will not be doing any development work towards making commenting easier. Inward Quest is a Q&A site for getting specific answers to specific questions and not a discussion forum. It is made deliberately difficult to hold extended discussions and we will be keeping it that way (or, if necessary, making it even more difficult in future) for the sake of keeping the quality of information on the site high for general visitors.

Extended discussion/comments should be taken offline to other social media. We have provided a Facebook page and a chat box for people to initiate non-site contact if they wish to.
