Hi, Is it possible to clean up the tag list? It's become a bit messy.

For example, there are several wrong spellings:

  • disclsure
  • postive-attitude ('positive-attitude' already exists)
  • communiy

etc.

Then there are similar tags which could be merged:

  • 'gift' and 'gifts'
  • 'voting' and 'voting-system'
  • 'process' and 'processes'

etc.

Thanks

We don't monitor the tagging on IQ Meta (unlike Inward Quest) since this is also a test site for new ideas, and it can get a bit messy with test postings/tags. I've now brought down the points requirements for tagging/retagging to 50 points here so you should be able to fix anything you come across.

No, the question was about tags on IQ. I have updated the question heading now.

@cod2 We fix tag problems on Inward Quest when we find them but, as far as I know, there is nothing to stop you fixing them as well. You should have enough points to do so. Some old questions of less than 1,000 characters will not be editable and you'll have to make a comment here so that we can make manual database edits. There is no "merge" feature but you can retag the question to remove the duplicate and replace it with the tag you want dominant.

Thanks. I'll give it a go.
